A full-year marine science programme for eighteen coastal primary schools, ending in a supervised snorkel survey each class runs itself.
Rs 52,000 runs the full programme for one class of thirty children.

Children who live two hundred metres from a lagoon frequently have never looked into it. This programme puts a structured marine science module into eighteen coastal primary schools across three districts: six classroom sessions, two beach field days, and a final supervised snorkel session where the class runs a simplified survey of its own local reef and reports the results back to the school.
The budget covers the educator team, transport (the largest single line — most of these schools have no bus), snorkel equipment sized for children, and the printed workbooks in English and French.

Eleven of the eighteen schools have now finished their snorkel day. Watching a class that was nervous about putting its face in the water spend forty minutes counting fish is the whole programme in one afternoon.
Remaining seven schools are booked before the end of term, weather permitting.
